报告题目：Accelerate Time-Integration via Parareal

In this talk, we introduce the basic idea of the parareal algorithm for accelerating the computation of evolutionary problems. This is an iterative algorithm which attracts considerable attention in the past two decades and consists of two time-integrators using with two different step-sizes. We will explain how these two time-integrators affect the convergence rate of the iteration and how to make the convergence rate faster and more efficient.
吴树林，1984年10月出生于河南省固始县，2010年5月博士毕业于华中科技大学数学系，研究方向为发展方程快速算法设计、分析与应用。主要从事发展方程PinT (Parallel-in-Time)算法研究。近年来，以第一(或通讯)作者身份在SIAM系列发表论文14篇，同时在Numer Math、 ESAIM系列、IMA数值分析、JCP等刊物发表多篇PinT研究论文。研究工作获得国家自然科学基金-面上项目(2项)、四川省杰出青年基金、中国博士后基金特别资助等基金项目的资助，入选中国科协青年人才托举工程、吉林省青年拔尖人才以及国家万人计划青年拔尖人才。
