报告摘要:

Ride-hailing platforms offer on-demand service (SoD), reservation service (SoR), or hybrid service (HS) to accommodate passengers with heterogeneous delay sensitivity. We develop analytical models to compare the profitability of these service models by jointly optimizing service prices and driver wages while accounting for passenger heterogeneity and capacity constraints induced by en-route times. Our results show that SoR supports higher prices by reducing passenger waiting, whereas SoD benefits from shorter en-route times that improve effective capacity and lower wages. Market size determines the most profitable model: SoR dominates in small markets, SoD in large markets, and HS in intermediate markets. Under HS, high-delay-sensitive passengers choose SoR, low-delay-sensitive passengers choose SoD, and drivers can freely choose which service to provide. These findings remain robust with endogenous en-route times and heterogeneity in passenger valuations and driver opportunity costs. Although HS combines the strengths of SoR and SoD, its profitability can be further improved by restricting drivers’ access to reservation service.

报告人简介:

孙珂,土耳其科奇大学(Koç University)管理学院助理教授,曾在加拿大麦吉尔大学商学院从事博士后研究,并于美国北卡罗来纳州立大学工业与系统工程系访学。主要从事随机模型、排队论、仿真、最优控制与强化学习等研究,重点关注相关理论方法在服务系统、在线平台运营及供应链管理中的应用。研究成果发表于Manufacturing & Service Operations Management、Omega等国际期刊,以及《系统工程理论与实践》《运筹学学报》等国内期刊。主持北京市自然科学基金青年项目,并获得加拿大卓越研究基金(CFREF)支持的IVADO博士后研究资助,开展“AI驱动的农业食品系统韧性:魁北克在线杂货平台运营优化”研究。
