报告摘要：The concept of projection-based implicit moment matching for model reduction of dynamical systems will be discussed. The goal is to show how the implicit moment matching for linear systems can be extended to nonlinear systems or more specifically, quadratic-bilinear systems. We will start with the basics of modelling and simulation for linear time invariant systems and the corresponding implicit moment matching problem. Next, we will introduce the concept of model order reduction for quadratic-bilinear systems and show how their multivariate generalised transfer functions can be used to achieve implicit moment matching. The link of these approaches with specific matrix equations will be discussed and explored for further research. Numerical results will be shown for benchmark examples of dynamical systems to see how projection-based moment matching and efficient solution of matrix equations improve the accuracy of the model reduction approach.
报告人简介： 米安·伊利亚斯·艾哈迈德博士，巴基斯坦国立科技大学（NUST）计算工程学教授。2006年在巴基斯坦获得电气工程学士学位，2011年在英国帝国理工学院获得控制系统专业的硕士（MPhil）及博士学位。2012年1月，他在巴基斯坦国立科技大学计算工程系担任助理教授。2013年1月，他前往德国马格德堡马克斯·普朗克复杂技术系统动力学研究所担任博士后研究员，任期三年。2019年，艾哈迈德博士晋升为副教授；2022年1月晋升为教授，并担任国立科技大学跨学科工程与科学学院工程系主任。他曾担任建模仿真研究中心主任，并于2025年起担任跨学科工程与科学学院院长。目前，他兼任国立科技大学工业应用数字孪生实验室首席研究员（PI）,主要研究方向包括模型降阶、工业过程数字孪生以及非线性动力学。
