报告摘要:IMEX-LDG method is a kind of fully discrete method adopting implicit-explicit (IMEX) time discretization coupled with local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) spatial discretization methods. One can benefit from the IMEX temporal discretization because it can ensure a good balance of the computational efficiency and numerical stability for time-dependent problems with both stiff and nonstiff parts. In this talk, I will first introduce a new approach using forward temporal differences and backward temporal differences to obtain uniform stability of IMEX-LDG methods for convection-diffusion equations. Then I will briefly introduce some related work, including boundary treatment, applications of IMEX-LDG methods in incompressible fluid flow, and some extensions to IMEX-DDG and IMEX-UWDG methods.

王海金,南京邮电大学副教授。主要研究方向为全离散间断Galerkin方法的理论研究和应用。主持国家自然科学基金青年基金、江苏省自然科学基金青年基金等项目,参加多项国家自然科学基金面上项目。在SIAM J. Numer. Anal., Math. Comput., J. Sci. Comput., 等计算数学期刊发表论文十多篇。
